Prader-Willi Syndrome Association

The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of Colorado (PWSA) is committed to improving the quality of life and the life expectancy of those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), by funding research and providing emotional support and social services to those who have PWS or care for individuals with PWS. Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a complex genetic disorder, caused by the absence of active genetic material on chromosome 15, leading to life-threatening obesity in children. Devnar Foundation for the Blind

Devnar Foundation was established with four students in a rented room. Within a span of 17 years, the school has grown to the present stature with 350 students, housed in a three-storeyed building owned by the Foundation. This phenomenal growth is due to the undoubted ability and unflinching enthusiasm of the founder and his wife, the dedicated staff, many philanthropists and donors. Devnar School is now acclaimed as the best institution for the Visually Challenged in India with the students aspiring to reach great heights of achievement, hitherto thought impossible for such children. Community Outreach - Flood Relief in Andhra Pradesh, India

The floods, one of the worst in a 100 years, claimed over 60 lives. The calamity inundated 565 villages in five districts and affected 1.62 million people. About 70,000 houses were damaged. Over 250,000 people from over 200 villages and parts of Vijayawada city were evacuated. Our deepest gratitude to all of our India Employees who contributed their one day's salary to help the flood victims and spent hundreds of volunteer hours with flood relief.
