Example application
The time tracking application is built on top of Drupal 5.6, using the CMS as an application framework. The application has different level of user groups like administrators, project managers, team managers, finance and staffs. The major functionalities of the application are, track timesheets and generate project specific financial reports.
The application makes use of the Drupal’s core modules like User for resource management and for user roles. Apart from the core modules, application uses following contributed and custom modules:
Contributed:
- Login Destination – on successful login, it redirects users to user group specific homepage.
- Workflow – with the help of workflow module, administrators, project managers or team managers can state the state of a submitted timesheet.
- Actions – perform predefined actions when a state of a timesheet is changed.
- JavaScript Tools (JS Calendar) – by using JS Calendar module, the integration of JavaScript pop up calendar becomes easy in the Drupal forms.
Custom:
- Projects – manage projects.
- Tasks – manage tasks.
- Resources – extends from Drupal’s core User module and manages resources
- Teams – manages teams, associate/disassociate resources from a team.
- Timesheets – allows users to create, edit and submit timesheets.
