A large not-for-profit vision benefits and services company in the United States partnered with ProKarma to better address the online needs of its members. The client had two websites: one used by doctors to join the network and another used by members to file claims, find a provider, search for eye care information and learn about special offers.
The client’s websites, however, were not compatible with mobile or tablet devices, so the organization turned to ProKarma for responsive Web design. Throughout the engagement, ProKarma held a daily scrum with the client and a sprint demo and sprint retrospection for every sprint. The ProKarma team documented all deliverables in Jira, provided root cause analysis for each escalation and completed peer reviews for each deliverable. To further ensure transparency, the team used Wiki to record a daily status update of each member and to track all impediments, risks and questions.
The projects for both websites were delivered successfully on time, and benefits included a reduced turnaround time for changes and no production defects. Technologies utilized in the process included Jquery Mobile, Magnolia CMS, JSP, Struts, Web Services and Jrun Server.
